New user, any difference between these kits?

I read Pherion's recommendation for a beginner's kit in the FAQs and I am wondering if his recommendation of the MPXS-14 (http://www.lockpickshop.com/p-MPXS-14.html) is significantly different from the PXS-14EZ (http://www.lockpickshop.com/p-PXS14EZ.html)

Is the PXS a less durable set? It looks like not all of the handles are metal. On the other hand, the PXS-14EZ comes with "Easy Pickings," which seems to be a highly recommended read for novices.

What do you say, experienced ones?

Go ahead and snag the one with the book (it's more like pamphlet, but it's okayish.) It will answer your basic questions, and the picks are decent.

ya go ahead its your choice the book is nice but i have no anwser for if that is better than the M.I.T id say its really jsut the same Information But its your choice

the mpxs-14 is a prime set for beginners. One of my pals purchased one and he loves it (i love it too). it has all the basic tools that a beginner or even advanced locksmith would need to pick basic locks. I'd definately go with the mpxs 14

Hi Jay J. McCool welcome to the forums I am relatively new myself. The book is not very good, you are much better off gettng the MIT Guide and the mpxs 14. I should know because I bought that starter kit when I first started.

If the book is free, then take it. If not, Easy Pickings it best left on the shelf. There is nothing there that you cant find here.
