as u can see form mi "italian lockpicking" post i'm italian :D with that psot i learnded that i have to buy a pick set made for the uk locks. now, are the sets in this page http://www.airpistol.co.uk/lockpick1.htm made for uk locks? (the url is .co.uk so i suppose yes... but i want to be sure) and if yes, whic set i have to buy? (i'm a newbye) i'm not very rich so i thought about the eight pieces set with metal handles and the eleven pieces set (the price is almost the same.... but.... what are this metal handles? the metal handles-provided sets are more expensive than the other ones... but which is the difference??

The 'standard' SouthOrd pick's handle is the same width as the pick shaft. As you can image this is quite thin. Some people don't mind the thin handles, but some people prefer the more comfortable handles of the 'metal handle' variety. Their handles are 3 times the thickness of the pick shaft.

You can also cover the thin handles with electrical tape or shrink wrap, so if you are on a tight budget you might try the standard handles.

Unfortunately, all of the picks on airpistol are the normal SouthOrd picks, not their "Euro" or "slimline" so they may have trouble in small, tight keyways often found in Europe (or so I hear). You can always grind them down smaller, however.

I'm probably a bigger newbie than you so don't take this as anything... The slim line picks, which I assume are better for UK/Europe are for sale at https://ssl.southord.com/ I've just ordered some from there but I'm having a little trouble contacting them.
