its used witha tubular pick that you have used to pick the lock, it measure the depth value that a pin picks at.

i would have guessed that it would be more useful for originating a key instead of just duplicating it, but even then it wouldn't be useful.

tubular lock picks tend to do most of the work themselves so you wouldn't need to decode the cuts.

ya i was just wondering because i didnt get how you would measure the cuts beacuse the decoder looks like a regular key not a tubular key? so i was just wondering how to use it.

you could put the end of your tubualr pick along side it using the uncut blade as a one cut?
is one a no cut?

When you pick the tubular lock, the feelers which are used to push the pins stay in postion when you take it out of the lock.

You measure how much each slider sticks out, and you can quickly cut a key to code using this decoder.
