You do not need any special tools to pick the Everest lock. I have picked a lot of these locks with no problem. I use my standard HPC TR-4 wrench and my picks like normal, then once the lock is picked it turns just a little bit (you will know it). To LIFT the check pin I use my Rytan mini-blue diamond pick, work almost a easy a key. As far as the key blanks go there is no restriction on them, last week I bought a box C000 key blanks which is the universial keyway the keys cost about $1.50 american each key. Hope this helps.
