I was wondering if anyone had any idea for door shims.
I locked myself out of my room one time, so I took a hangar, slipped it under the door and pulled down on the handle to open the door. When used with a metrocard through the door jam, I can open the door in a few seconds.
I want to try and make a door shim that can open the lock without the use of the hangar. I've tried a credit card/metrocard by itself, but they aren't strong enough. The device needs to be able to bend at about 90 degrees. I was thinking of thin sheet metal. Any ideas?
P.S. I am asking this because I am curious if it is possible. The door locks are 7-pin BEST locks and it takes about 30 minutes to pick them.
