Problems with a pin, help appreciated.

I checked around the site and didnt find exactly what I was looking for..
I have a 5 pin Qwikset and am having problems picking the last pin. I re-pinned the lock a couple times in different orders and havent had a problem, but this last combination of pins is stumping me. 4 of the 5 will set but the last one will not set-it just slides up and down like there is no tention on it. I kept thinking it was a false set, but I took out the pins and looked at them and I am again very certain they they set. I've tried more tention, but the pin still slides like there is no tention-period! Anyway I thought some brainstorming might help, so thanks in advance if anyone has an idea or has ran into this before.

Are there any security pins in the lock?
If so, that might be the reason being.

The other reason that comes to my head is that you're over-lifting one(or more) of the other pins (probably the longest one). Try using a lighter tension (much, much lighter) and when you push the pins over the sheer line - do it very slowly, as to stop at the exact moment, when the pin will set.

Just some basics, but i guess it might help anyway...

Bingo! I dont know if it was reading your post or giving it a break for a while, but i just got it, back to front. I think I was overlifting a pin, not the tension. Thanks a bunch..
