With that statement, I'm sure that the contents have little or no value. Surely you wouldn't forget about $100K or maybe a Deed to a property.
It is far better to remain silent and be thought of as stupid, rather than opening your mouth and removing all possible doubt.

Sesamee decoder

Postby lockedin » 26 Mar 2006 2:47

A sesamee decoder will prove useful in this task. You can probably find several threads on the matter by using the "search" function.

lost combo

Postby keysman » 26 Mar 2006 7:51

There is a very easy way to locate the combination for that brief case.
Think of an odometer ( the device in your car that tells you how many miles or km you
have gone, it starts on “000” and continues on until it hits “999” )
Start your search for the correct combination at 000 then try 001, 002 003 ect when
you hit 009, your next number will be 010 then 011 ect
Be observant while you are testing each number, you may notice a difference in ‘feel”
when you hit a specific number , that is a clue to the possible combination.
Worse case , you have to go through all the numbers to find the correct combo, if you
do it while watching TV you should have it open within 15 min.

this useually works on a cheap lock but give it a try pull 1 of the diles to the side you should be able to see down on a shiny surface.
if so rotate the dial so you find a gap in the shiny metal surface, line this up with the locator then do this for each dial. then POP!

hope it help's mayb someone could clean this up a bit

thanks lee

They style of info that gets handed out depends on several thing, mainly depending on what type of things a particular lock secures, and what a person is asking.
(hypethetically speaking, so don't take offence)
Like with your briefcase, getting told to try the combinations while watching the TV. If the case is yourse (or you have it at home) then the fact that it is not instant may be anoying, but not too much of a problem. But if you wanted to steal the test papers that you know you teacher just locked in his briefcase, having to spend a possible 30 min trying to unlock a briefcase where someone could catch you is a good deterant for people who want info for criminal intent.
And for other types of locks that require you build up your skill first, someone trying to make a quick buck illegally are likely to be too lazy to bother to put in the practice and/or effort to make/get the tools needed and learn how to use them efficently.
