It may be an after market ( if it
is made) Schalge 14xx ,if it was orginal, it would have a threaded tail cap and the keyway ( except"c" )stamped on the end of the cylinder.
My Guess and only a guess is LORI 80/90 restricted to dealers only

You know the strange cylinder is what threw me off in the first place which made me think that it would not be a schlage cylinder. I opened it up and decoded the pins, all were the exact same sizes as schlage and the spacing in the cuts/pin holes are also the same. Now i have a scan lock which i believe is a LORI 80/90 key (this is if i am correct) and it does not match this keyway. The only thing i am thinking is this key is semi restricted ( that is what the lock supply company i use says) and what i think they did was order this keyway in aftermarket cylinders for the doors and padlocks and used Ilco or some off brand because like keysman said it would have a screw cap and the keyway stamped on the back. By the looks of the cylinder it must be aftermarket. After examining the keyway picture i found and the cylinder i have, it really looks like it is the right key. I am going to see if i can order some of these keys and check if they fit. I will let you all know when i discover what keyway this really is.

UPDATE:

Well this is kinda a dead topic, but for anyone that has read it or is going to, i finally received the Schlage 1467 key blanks and well they do not fit, they are really close so i am going to look into the other 13 and 14 series blanks that they have. I gotta find my ilco book or buy a new one better yet.

If i do eventually find it i will let you all know what i come up with.

How close is it? Is it a matter of one part of the keyway warding blocking the key insertion? Consider that you have a lock in a multiplex keyway system? If you think this is possible, consider ordering the master section blank next.

The very bottom wards are the only part stopping the key. That is a good thought. I will look for the master section blank next. In the ilco key blank directory book there are a few 13 series and 14 series key that look similar to the 1467 keys but i only glanced at them cuz it was not my book and we were in a hurry at that time so when i find mine i will try and look for the master section blank and see what i can come up with.

Wow that looks like a trick to pick, i have no idea what it is, but out of curiosity, how in god name would oyu even get the pick in.. i mean they pins are practically resting on the ward... hmm alsum lock though good luck man.

As I was reading the first page, with the clear picture of the keyway, and later that schlage key and keyway, I thought that the bottom of the keyway would be the problem, the keyway has that sort of upside down 7 with a curved stem, while the schlage has more squared off internal angle to that. For all those who thought that the tailpiece was going to tell them which brand its from, remember that the tail on this one is specific to the lock body its in, and if that is an american, (I dont see the drill breaker steel piece that holds in the american cylinders) then you might want to research that particular padlock to see what cylinders it will accept, I would expect that you might get near the answer there, although it may be a special job, so close counts, the only manufacturers of special jobs will be those same ones who are making cylinders that fit the lockbody.

Well I am pretty sure that the keyway is a schlage, I picked the lock open and took all the pins out each pin measures the same as a schlage pin in depth and width. The spacing is also schlage style. Now on this lock, American sells the padlock with no cylinder so as long as you purchase the right tail piece you can put anything you want in the lock. Now the way I am narrowing it down is one all the measurements match schlages and I also have a almont lock with the same keyway. Now almont only makes there locks in schlage C-K keyways, Wieser keyways, Yale 8 keyway and the kwikset keyway. So i know it is not kwikset and its not a yale or wieser so i am left with schalge just have to figure out which one.

I am picking up a ILCO key directory here soon to I will try and match it up close as possible and try again.

UPDATE:

Ok i finally found a key that fits in the lock. It is not the right key but i am getting closer to finding out what it is. I looked over the key and found no marking that would tell me what Keyway it is. I measured all the pins and found that they match schlage. i pinned up a cylinder i have to this key with schlage pins and it works great.

Here are some pictures of the key. If you have seen keys like this or know what it is please let me know so i can find some blanks.

I found out the keyway is a restricted Ilco Keyway the name of the keyway is sd. If anyone know what this is post back. I am trying to find out were i can get some. I will try to go through the locksmith i work for and see what he can get but if anybody here know where i can obtain some please let me know.
