It's a tension wrench.

That is a dual pronged turning tool, otherwise known as a "Wishbone wrench"

Useful for double sidded wafer locks, since it holds the dust cap open.

The wrench itself is okay in terms of usefulnes.

that washer

you can take that washer off and lose it. there is absolutely no reason to have it on there. although I know they come that way.

I disagree, sorry, it holds the tool together so it fits in the case properly, if its spread out the case wears and a hole appears also it wont shut quite as well, at least on my mpxs-62 set its that way.

All right, then, makes it flatter, good for the flat leather cases. A starbucks coffee shop sells some sort of gum in a metal tin with the top opening flap that would fit it well, but all the rest of those long popcicle handle picks wouldn't fit in. eh, whatever :roll:
