can anyone help with a era lock

can anyone help with a era lock

hi all ive started my first serious lock picking ive read the guide on here about re pinning a lock so i purchased a era lock the other day ive taken it apart and then put all 5 pins back in and treid to pick it ive got 4 out of 5 but the last one just does not want to go in am i doing somethink wrong anyone got any advice :roll:

Which pin is it ? the closest to the front of the lock, or the furthest away ?

You may not be quite setting all of the pins, and one may just be out of alignment. Try touching each pin in turn and feeling if it is bound or still "springy", or just falling back into place under gravity (not spring pressure).

Remember :

Solid pin = Good

Play with the unbound pins

:)

p.s. we got relegated this season lol

on a serious note, when i once repinned a lock i didnt notice but i did knacker the spring (for want of a more technical word) i dont know quite how but that managed to completly sod the lock up and for some reason it was not setting above the sheer line
