I have a problem with a combination lock. I tried to post in the right section but i cannot post in "Advanced Locks".
This is the target:

The normal approach doesn't work.. If you pull the lock and move the rings you can't hear the magic 'click'. How can i do it?
I removed the plastic covers and nothing of the mechanism can be seen.
Heeelp! :)

PS: sorry for my bad technical english, this is my first post!

Put the cable around a post, pull on the other end hard, turn the dial that is farthest away from the opening end until it goes loose then do the one next to it. Keep going until youve done it to all of them.

Otherwise look up seasame decoding.

The problem is that the first dial (from left to right in the foto) is very easy to turn when i pull, but the other ones are almost impossible! They are too hard!
I tried to wash in hot water then i lubed it with WD40 but it changed just a little. I cannot see how it's inside because I don't know the combination, anyone can take pics?
About the seasame decoding there's a post on the forum but about masterlocks

thank you

When doing those types of lock I prefer using my foot to pull on the cable and having both hands at the lock. A post in hindsight may have been more practicle or a chair leg but gee II just love the ,anlyness of pulling things apart with your feet....

Personally I find its the one closest to the opening end first on these type. The hard to turn one is the one your after. ease a little on the presure if your finsing it hard to turn. At each number give the ial a little wiggle, it should be obvious when its at corect number lot easier to turrn near it but when you get it, it jsut screams "you got me, you got me" it will have alot of freedom When turning, and in cheeper ones alot of wiggling freedom from side to side.

Ouch, I've only ever done 4 combo locks. The first 2 were from cheap cheap cheap bike chains. It took a while but just looking really carefully when I pulled on the chain (starting from the left) if the number was right it wouldn't move when I pulled on the chain. The other 2 combo locks I brute forced. Luckily the last one was on the default code (000). A 4 digit one could take a while though :-/.

Done! :D
Now I have blisters on the fingers due to the hardness of the dials but it's opened!
Thank you all! :)
