Hey,
I was wondering if there was a place where I can buy new or used locks besides ebay and any lock manufacture like Masterlock, ABUS or Abloy.
Now, why am I asking this ? Because maybe i can find better prices than a manufacture and I don't want to get scammed on EBAY, so if I have another choice i'll go for it.

Scammed on ebay???What are you buying ? Try dealing with sellers that have great long term feed back, bad sellers don't last long on e-bay.
There are a lot of canadaiens who use a mail drop in Plattsburg USA to avoid "international" shipping and customs fees,

If you don't want to buy off of eBay, be prepared to spend 2-5 times the price of the locks on ebay.

Absolutely, agreed. Ebay is, by far, the BEST place for cheap practice locks AND exclusive/rare/high security stuff that, although it will be expensive on ebay, it would be a LOT more expensive anywhere else!

The only reason why I don't want to buy from there is because I heard that there's lots of scams going on and I don'tfeel like getting fu****. But I guess it's not that bad if you know how to shop huh.

check feedback--10-20 ratings or more (at least 30-50 might be better, but a lower number is acceptable especially if they've been a member a long time but just don't use ebay much) at 98% or better positive.
check shipping terms and prices.
check payment terms.
read terms VERY CAREFULLY.
a random selection of auctions will turn up a proper auction with an honest seller 90%+ of the time, so it's really not that bad overall.

Many communities have a "Habitat For Humanity Restore" used builders warehouse. These places will sometimes have boxes full of old locks with no keys and they will sell those cheap.

yeah, most locks on ebay are alot less expensive than the ones you find in stores, just find a seller who has a good rep. on ebay and you should eb fine.

go to your local scrap metal dealer, tell him what you want, and he'll sell them to you at a price per pound. Big lockshops sell the scrap brass to them and they recycle it. keys, cylinders, intact, sometimes the exotics that were removed to replace them with the local types. what you want to do is pick and chose though, not just take the first ones he comes up with. this will also be a source of replacement parts for those lost retainerings or springs, tailpieces, etc. you could just call them on the phone to find the one has the stuff.
