is this site reputable to buy from?

Postby Squelchtone » 17 May 2006 13:15

I was searching around and found

http://www.shop.multipick-service.cc/?language=en

They seem to have a great selection of tools for lockout porfessionals. Has anyone here dealt with them? How is customer service, shipping speed, pricing?

Thanks

Oh I already have, especially since they are in my home state of Massachusetts :D I was just looking to buy something other than Southord, since I've broken a bunch of my picks and need replacements (not to say it's Southord's fault, I was just too rough with my picking).

I might make my own, but for just starting out I think getting another set and being more gentle might be a better idea. Maybe another 11 piece Southord, but as someone pointed out, buying them individually and putting them in my case saves me the $8 on a new leather case.

What company is just above the quality of Southord as far as how nicely sanded and polished the pick ends are? One thing I never did was to polish up and sand my new Southord 11 piece set, I think I'll do that this time.

I've used them too. Very quick delivery (next day) from Germany to the UK.

Hey squelch I'm from Springfield myself, small world :)

I like the Peterson's, you can order them individually or in sets, I find the plastic blue handles best, but that is just personal preference. They deliver quickly and I have never had anything but good experiences with them. http://peterson-international.com/

I can second Peterson tools. You will likely not break them unless you are parking a truck in top of them. If you do not pick ALL of the time you will need to oil their standard picks to keep them from rusting though.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Hehe,

I had lost my favorite Peterson hook last winter, I found it a couple months ago in my front yard (must have dropped it on my way out one day), after 4 months in at leat 2 feet of snow, it rusted, but a little oil with som 400 grit sandpaper and it is my favorite hook still, I might even name it

I know Peterson has their own steel for tension wrenches made specifically for the job, would not be surprised if they did the same for the picks, they are tough....

I named my mid-sized hook or finger "the bird". I love pulling out and flipping the bird; people react with shock and amazement! :P
