Supplier in Canada ?

Postby littlejohn » 8 Jun 2006 17:07

Just wondering if there was a lock pick equipment supplier here isn Canada. The Duties and brokrage fees from the US and UK are crazy expensive....

Thanks

Hi littlejon,

Lockpick shop has been great to me, they ship usps....

if its over $40 (sometimes a bit more gets through), you end up paying $5 + 8% (or 15%,i think 8 though....)
Which isnt that bad.

If its sent via fedex or UPS there is a brokerage fee of 40$ + the taxes :(

Send things via usps, thats your best bet..... Otherwise, Varjeal sells some practice locks, bogata picks and the odd HPC bits...

Cheers!

I'm in Canada and can definitely state that lockpickshop.com is fantastic. Very fast, affordable shipping (USPS)... I think I paid $8 to ship and had my SouthOrd slimlines in 8 days with no duties or taxes owing.

Well, it hardly seems worth saying at this point, but lockpickshop.com has always treated me VERY well.

Just a note tho... if you order a combo set with auto jigglers, US law required them to ship UPS and you'll get dinged with heavy customs clearing charges. So... don't order jigglers. They're pretty close to useless anyway. :)

But they are a top notch company to deal with, and VERY responsive.

AND.. just 'cause you're a member here, if you put LP101 in the coupon code box, you get 10% off regular priced merchandise.

Cheers!

thanks for all the info regarding ordering. I want to order a set of picks, but I'm unsure of how many I will need and what I want, so its going to be a month before I decide (you should see me order from a menu at a restaurant, takes forever).

Varjeal has some good stuff too ;)

Thanks to All, I ordered a couple of their items, we'll see if they end up with brokerage. Anyone have any experiences with the Peterson Knife tool for padlocks /cabinet locks or the Shovit tool ?
