could somebody please, please give me a walk through so i can try picking this lock again? again - it's the kind of lock that's the door knob & takes a key, and on the other side is a flat turn-screw. i don't know if there's a brand name - nothing on this side of the knob.
i have very few items to use as "tools" - i just moved in here & most of my unpacked belongings are in the locked bedroom. but, please feel free to suggest household items or whatever - there's a chance i could find it - i do have safety pins (large ones).
also, i came across this "raking" technique? again, i don't fully get it. could i do this? keep in mind that i do not care at this point if the lock is damaged or ruined - it looks cheap anyhow & i'm kind of upset at this point i was not given a key for my own bedroom.
hopefully i'm not purely stuck here - i really didn't want to bring my semi-senile manager into this because i have an early doctor's appointment tomorrow & i know he will not understand why it is important for me to get into my own bedroom as soon as possible.
thanks for any help - suggestions - walk-through steps - whatever, etc. hopefully this made sense, i'm recuperating from a head injury (thought i'd add that for a little extra sympathy/help).
