Making a lock gun?

Postby !*AMP*! » 17 Jun 2006 20:48

Anyone ever seen any info on how to make a lock picking gun? I thought I remember seeing something somewhere online about how to change some tools into one but couldn't remember...would be a kind of interesting thing to do...I think it was plans to turn electric scissors into one or something. Any thoughts?

I'm not really that interested in making one, just though it would be interesting to see if someone has done so.

There are a lot of posts here on the forum that describes these things.

And yes, you can use electric scissors, toothbrushes etc.. But if they work good is another question ;)

Some idiot did This once, i think its better than the normal toothbrush mods.

Theres actually another one thats really rough but seemed to work well, it was a motor on a bit of wood with a pick fastened to it but i cant remember the poster right now to find it for you.

For what its worth; Hans Conkel shows how to build a manual pickgun in the book "How To Open Locks With Improvised Tools"

Shrub, was that the 36V one? Major power!

I've got the (carzy speed and power) motor to make a homebrew one, but it's on hold indefinately. I'm going to make a mechanical snapgun, though. Or I might buy one... but I'll probably make one either way. The system I've got will fiore a keyblank off the ceiling! I can tell you, that made me jump!
