Beginning Picking Set?

Postby FastTrack » 21 Jun 2006 11:25

I have looked for the last day at all the lock picking sets offered on the internet and there are so many I'm not sure where to start. I would like a set to do regular house locks, but also car locks. I don't have much to spend on them... What would be the best set for me?

Thanks

As a universal recomendation, I would suggest the 9 piece slimline Southord set.

I don't recommend asking about car/ vehicle lockpicking, thats an advanced forum discussion, and we are not supposed to speak about it unless you are in the advanced forum.

Just don't spend too much on vehicle picks/tools, you don't need to. Remember, police will most likely charge you with B & E tools if you are caught with car picks/ tools- unles you have a VERY good reason for them. (same goes for house lockpicks- depending on what you are doing)

Sorry, forgot to add something...

I've been stopped with both types, and the police gave me a harder time with the auto set, and I have a valid reason to have them.
