ahhh dangit!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just got a new lock, picked it twice and wanted to see inside it for the first time, well i put the key in, turned it 180 degrees and slid the little thing off the lock and i pulled out the (driver) pins carefully, then i guess i accidentally turned the key another 180 around and it is now stuck with the pins in it still. the key doesnt turn at all.

its and ACE 5 pin spool deadbolt. (grr)

what did i do wrong and how do i FIX it?

Oh no - Ive done that too. You're going to have to use a very steep hook pick to overlift the pins past the shear line. It is going to usck and it will take a long time, but such is the stench of life. :(

eventually...someone will come across this this post and wonder what happened...i beat the system...i ripped a cap (or something) and made my own replacement cap and now i can change the pinstacks as i wish.

it is now a changeable pinstack (aka...really good beginner lock) this lock will serve great uses as for doing DB's beginner exercise thing!

i have always said that there are four ways of life:

1: conform to the system
2: fail in the system
3: beat the system
4: and CONTROL the system

(i like to be number 4)
