kinzo padlock

hi, i recently bought a cheap kinzo padlock which caught my eye due to its strange keys they are flat with angles files at different degrees along the oblong shaft, can anyone enlighten me as to how to bypass this lock , i am stumps, oh have tried shimming and its to tight!

Sounds like a disc lock... you find that they crop up on cheapo locks in an effort to make them seem hugh security.

The basic mechanism behind them stands the same as Abloy, or the Abus Plus mechanism.

There's no point saying it should only be discussed in the advanced forum, since it's equaly as clueless there, and nothing constructive really has been mentioned. :(

Bum... forgot to say:

You can't shim them, since they use a double-ball locking mechanism that is immune to shimming.

No way to bypass these locks NDE - but you could try bending 2 pieces of wire to 90 degrees and use one to turn the last disc (this creates turning force) and using the second wire to turn the discs to feel for the gates. I have done it on a Blackspur padlock and found it had no false notches so any feedback I received pretty much signaled I had found a gate. :wink:

That's about far enough... Not that it will be mentionred in the advanced forum, but because I can't say more in the public forum.

So maybe the advanced forum is not the holy grail we are lead to believe it is
