But firesafes are ment for fire not real or true security. Also, arn't most sentry safes light weight? I know the the one i have is the briefcase model and again its not built for security but for fire.

true that firesafes are not nearly as secure as security ones, but still you'd think that anyone making a safe would do more than F'ing 2 wafers.

Well i have a sentry fire box, now granted an angle grinder would own one, you can grind off the wafer, find a nice medeco cam lock on ebay for a resonable price, drill two or three or how ever many holes in the bottom of the box, maybe a hardend steal plate.. you can even use iron or w/e is laying around and us that to reinforce the bottom, and secure it to cement or a solid stud, i mean it seems like alot of work but really only took me 15 mins for the holes and securing, i am still looking for a cam lock that will fit, it was jsut a test project but proved effective with just junk laying around the house, even tested it with a crowbar and since it was in the cement with only two bolts and some metal plate.. just laying around proved great from prying off, and if a good lock is on will resist a quick pick open.

Granted the term if someone wants it bad enough they will mostly get it or get caught trying, even so it was just a cool in home project and proved effective, i would always buy a safe for valuables. But for 10$ for the box worked great :P

Well, electronic keypads are much easier to use, therefore encourage the user to really use the safe. It also solves the issue that people don't spin the dial properly after closing the safe.

And good electronic safe locks are protected against all kinds of electrical attacks, too.

Not sure about the one in the picture in this thread, though.
