re-pinning a padlock

ok so i have been into pick for around 6 months now, and i have many picks . and i have a padlock in which i want to re pin but im not to sure how to? it is an ABUS 83-45 Z bar http://www.abuslocks.com/83_45.asp. i didnt buy it from that site i got it from my grandfather and he lost the key i cannot pick it either but i can pick a 6 pin tumbular in under 15 minutes and i have picked my dead bolt with 3 pins in under 1 minute practised alot, and i cant re-pin it broken. but anyway has anyone ever had experience with re-pinning this padlock? again here is the site http://www.abuslocks.com/83_45.asp. thank you all in advance for your help

If it is, I think the possibility of it being repinnable is pretty low. There is one thing to do: Look closely at the side of the padlock, under good light conditions. Look at the side that is closer to the slim end of the keyway (the side the bitting of the key is pointing towards). You can maybe see a few circles, they are also brass colored but you might see the rim of the circle. If you can't see anything, try running a bit of sandpaper over the area and look again. If you see these little circles, you can repin the lock. You just need to drill out the little circles and then you have access to the pin chamber from below, enabling you to remove spring and pins. You will just need to find a way to close the chambers again, if you are good with that kind of stuff you can tap the holes and use small grub screws.

This lock has a removable core (meaning the cylinder and it's casing can be withdrawn from the body)

This is easily done by unlocking the lock, then locating the retaining screw (this will be under the shortest part of the shackle. All you need to do is unscrew this screw and the cylinder and crossbar will fall into your hand.

From here you need to have a pin set to accomodate this lock(schlage will work).

Then there will be two screws and a end cap on the end of the cylinder. Undo these almost all the way.

Spin the cap around so that the stopping bar (you will know it when you see it, its basically the bar protruding from the cap)

If the cylinder is unlocked you will be able to then spin it 180 degrees to match the holes that are on the casing (you will also see this easily, 6 3mm holes along the bottom of the casing which are used for rekeying).

Replace your pins (carefully, make sure you know which ones to use and don't key ridiculous MACS)

I noticed your Aussie.

In that case it will be a C4 profile keyway, and you will be able to rekey it from a standard lockwood key, using standard lockwood pins.
