afis, not the little bugs that kill leaf, but the automated fingerprint ident sys. will match a finger print with ten or twentyfive possible matches, then the human eye takes over, and a print examiner tries to make a positive match, the meaning of this is you should get your cop friend to run your print on afis and see who else is wearing your code. The fingerprint lock will work, and it will also baffle the gullible into thinking that you have execllent security, but things like this have their vulnerablities, like for instance if someone were able to gain control on premises or by internet of the data, they could put thier own fingerprint inthere and not tell the owner of the lock who trusts and spends very little time verifying, this could leave someone with access that could be used long term, and if anything happened, that person may also be able to scramble all data the lock depends on. Remember, it was Diebold, a good name in locks, who came up with the 'automatic vote theft machine" and there are so many insecurities in that scam. obviouly, they were anxious to get a product marketed, before having a trustable product.
