Postby TODDTEK » 4 Sep 2006 17:32

Hi group i have been ofered a tibbe cutting machine with caps adaptor
Belive it is made by curtis not too sure ?.
Will copy cut tibbe and code cut as well .
looks ok.
What have i got to look out for ie wear and tear and will it run on a 600watt inverter and what would be a realistic price?.
Im not fishing for a machine i really do have one on offer .
Any info greatly appreciated.

You have been offered one and then you say you have one on offer?

Doesnt make sence,

If you are looking at one then look for wear in the slides, wear on the cutter, wear on the tracing tip, check the motor isnt sparking and starts up first and everytime,

We couldnt tell you if it will run on your inverter you need to look at the specs of the motor,

Im locking this thread and not mentioning price until you pm with with the fact of whether you are selling one or been offered one you want to buy,

Right ok hes been offered a machine to buy,

SKS sell new ones for £560 +vat, the copying facility isnt that important as they are very easy to decode,

Ive seen machines going second hand at between £50 and £200 second hand that are code cut only, ask around and ask the wholesalers if they have any second hand machines or ex demo, you may also find local garages or Ford dealers have an old machine tucked away they are happy to get rid off,
