lock bypass or luck?

lock bypass or luck?

i was fiddiling around in a spring loaded lock today and i had put the pick in the black of the lock and ducked it back a bit it poped open this happend twice what the hell is happening did i break my lock or am i like directly unlocking it... im a bit confused please help

It's a common bypass on some of the cheap padlocks.

It sounds like you manipulated the locking mechanism directly and popped it open. That might be a bit hard on your picks - I'd take it easy and stick to learning to pick the pins.

as jimb said, it is a common bypass on spring loaded locks. this works on most all of them from what i hear, i onyl heard about it like 2 days ago myself, i thought for sure it was advanced material, since it has the word BYPASS in it, but i guess not since its being openly discussed and advised in the public forums.

typically, i understand, using your L rake upside down is the best way to do it.
