Question about buying bump key set

Hello!

I'm new to this forum and i know that memebers do not really approve of 'bumping' and bum keys, but i have a question about one store that sells a set:

The mention that the only way to order is through phone, and that THIS ITEM IS HIGHLY RESTRICTED AND SOLD TO PROFESSIONALS ONLY!

Has anyone ordered this item from lockpicsks.com? Are there any true restrictions as they mention or is it just a way to cover themselves (legally)

I'm sorry is this has already been asked, or if i offent anyone by asking this.

Try, thats all we can say, you may not get any problems in buying them or you may get told you cant, either way you arent going to be in trouble for asking.

I thought that maybe some of you guys have already purchased this product and may have some insight. i will ask for sure, and if im not allowed they'll tell me

A lot of these warnings are just there to cover their backs if anything goes wrong,

They do check, it's not lip service. They will request some proof to be faxed or emailed to them. Some of the acceptable forms of ID to prove you are either a professional or student taking security or locksmith courses are,

Class Certificate
Student ID Card
Yellow Page Ad
Security Photo ID

I'm sure they accept more. They do check by the way! I presented them a student card for a locksmith course. Before the order is possessed or your credit card charged they check your credentials. I know they called the school to verify I am taking the course. It took an extra day for my order to be processed.

So there is no chance i can order a set, isthere?
I hate to be a pain, but would anyone be willing to help me order a set?

I doubt any one will do that for you. May be if you were better known and been around for awhile. Why not fill out your profile and then do some reading on how to make bump keys, it's not that hard.

I know i was pushing the envelope, but hey! its worth trying.
I'm thinking of buying a depth key set from ebay and finish them myself. But i have never done this before, so i dont know how it's supposed to be done.
Thats why i wanted to buy the first set already made, so i can make an ideea how they work.

Another question, if i may: anyone knows a reliable place to get a set of already made bump keys? Ebay doest allow selling bump keys only depth keys.

You will have to make your own, look around this site for a pdf made by Zeke79, this will tell you all you need to know along with a good read of site,

No-one will help you by buying a set on your behalf,

They are easy to make if you follow the multiple guides found on site, you only need a file and a key,
