What does A2P stand for? It's the grading (*, ** or ***) given by the French CNPP (Insurance standards organisation) for security locks. Thanks for any help. Greyman

Q. : What does the A2P label stand for? Is it a guarantee of security ? A. : The a2p label is awarded by the CNPP (the French National Prevention and Protection Centre, Certification Department) to products that have been tested for resistance to breaking and entering. There are three levels of resistance to breaking and entering : a2p 1 * - resistance time under laboratory conditions " 5 minutes a2p 2 * - resistance time under laboratory conditions " 10 minutes a2p 3 * - resistance time under laboratory conditions " 15 minutes

From 5 to 15 minutes? I guess the French Police are extremely fast to respond to break-ins. I would rate it: over 30 minutes, over 90 minutes, over 3 hours. If you can't withstand attack for at least 30 minutes, you don't deserve to be certified.
