The C rake often called the snake rake.
The S rake which I like to call batman.
The L rake which I call to call the jag.
You also show a half diamond pick/rake.

yeah- thats left to right, and they are ALL used for raking.

note* that the middle one, the S rake, can (supposedly) break very easily if up and down motion is used, so you want to make sure to only go in and out there. or so i hear.

and one other thing:

WHAT IS THAT?!

First on the left is the snake rake.
Second is the W rake, or what I call a W rake.
I notice someone else called it an S rake? Is this its real name?
Last is a sawtooth rake.

These are all just things Ive come to accept, Im not sure if theyre right or not. :P :P

Well my room is right next to the basement. My brother lives down a hill in his own cabin. My wptepdad was running cable and phone lines through the basement and on his first drilling he missed.... by a lot.

It looks like a dead fly. I will always remember that one rake as the Batman rake it looks exactly like the symbol.

Thats a W rake. I'm naming them as southord, and most sites that sell lockpicks have them named.
They are all rakes, and I wouldn't recommend using a lot of up and down motion on any of them. It does make them work more quickly, but it will wear them down, and then you'll have the head of your rake break off in a lock. Smooth in and out motions. You can do some, but be careful. The only reason to have a name for a rake is if your telling someone else what rake you used in a picking process. Here rakes are rarely mentioned as almost everyone preferes pin for pin picking.

You have a 3/4 snake, an "S" rake and a riffle.

All are used for raking as others have mentioned.
