I know there was a thread recently about different setups people have been using to photograph their picks but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on get the best pics you can out of a cheap digital camera (I'm using an Intel CS630 webcam/digital cam.) I did a couple of searches before asking and found nothing useful but to coin a popular term lately my Search-Fu sucks. Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Phil.

As for the cheap camera, just try to have good lighting, follow erics directions, play around a bit, eventually you will find out what works best for your camera.
Where abouts in PEI are you?

The best advice that I have received on good pictures with a cheap camera has come from past threads in this forum.
1. Use a tripod.
2. Use the timer.
3. Use a magnifying glass for close up photos.
Doing these 3 things has allowed me to get some pretty good photos out of my cheap camera.

Yeah, just play around with it to see what it can do. Try different areas in your home that use different grade of lighting, for instance, halogen, florescent and reguler CTF light bulbs give off different spectrums of light that will make a difference in your pictures.
*I'll take the credit for the #3 Magnification trick.

BCS is a great company. I do believe they are still around. I haven't had to deal with them in a long time so I am not sure.
Wolfville is geat in the spring and summer. Especially since its a University town. The scenery is great, and the the girls are everywhere.
