Hello all,
I have noticed that in many of the threads I have tried to view, that not all of the pics will load. I have double checked the settings on my browser, I have tried a different browser, I have searched the forum for similar problems..........no help.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which pics load and which don't. Some load, most don't. It isn't just old threads. Any ideas? All help much appreciated.

My guess would be that the pictures are no longer hosted where they were originally linked from. You'll notice that you can't actually upload pictures to LP101, but that they have to be linked from some other source.
Often, people will rename directories for their own organizational convenience, or their accounts with various file-hosting sites will lapse, resulting in broken image links.
Just the way of the world, unfortunately It's entirely possible that someday our fairly vast wealth of images will be null and void.

or if you are browsing from work you might have a web filter blocking some of the personal storage sites, here we have websence and i have to load up the host site first and use "quota time" then refresh the thread.

Shrub,
The only one that comes immediately to mind (because I really wanted to see it) was this one http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=9096--tshok's plug spinner. I get the pic of the unmodified mousetrap, but that's it.
There are others, but that is the only one I can remember.
Thanks,
Andy

All right, move along! Nothing to see here!
(Except an idiot with a computer).
Yep, my computer. Clicked on the wrong watchamacallit when I set the, err... settings.
Sorry for the bother, and thanks for the help.

We're all idiots with computers. The difference is whether or not we notice our mistakes before anouncing them to the world.
I'm glad you resolved your problem. That was a great ending.
Take care,

DB amd Romstar,
I long ago accepted the fact that I make mistakes. Make them frequently, in fact. I always try to own up to them, preferably with some degree of mitigating wit. It is easier, and, I think, more graceful to laugh along than try to cover them up.
Glad you liked it. Thanks again to everyone for all the help.
