should i upgrade my safty pin pick!

I've been using a safety pin and bent screw driver for a couple of months now and can pick many locks, but the hard ones such as schlage i can pick but it bends my safty pin, the question is should i get an upgrade to professional picks now, or is there anyone that just been using safety pins through out there whole time picking locks, and does anyone know of tougher safety pins

I would recommend upgrading your tools. Even if you decide not to buy a professional set you can make some beautiful tools with a grinder and some hacksaw blades. Pyro1234321 made a video all about making tools out of hacksaw blades, take a look at it he has made some really nice tools.

dude, if you can work that good with safety pins, go for even a 5 piece tool kit, you'll probably be bloody amazed how good you are. This is the way to go folks, if you can get up to Schalges with safety pins as a beginner, you will make wonders with a proper kit. Best of luck to you job314

If you are opening locks with just a safety pin and a bent screw driver. I would say YES upgrade your tools. Also when you do upgrade and start using your new tools you might see that it takes you a exta few min's to open the same locks you have been opening befor. But this will pick up after you get the feel of the new tools.

i used to have a safety pin screw driver get up!

you wil only notice that real tools do not deflect as much as the set you got now.

personally i reach for my screw driver over my regular tension wrench every time because it ives me maximum control over the amount of tourque i apply.
