hi, i found this old lock somewhere and was trying to dissasemble it but i dont know how to do it:

as you can see it has a real tight hole, is it so tight in usa?

well, i would appreciate if anyone has a link or a guide or somethin. sry for the low quality

That's a Euro profile cylinder so try searching around the forum for that.

To help you in your search there's a really good thread HERE that shows how to dismantle and repin a Euro cylinder.

I would guess you could use something like a C clip remover for a mortise or rim lock....

I think the problem might be the fact that like some of my old euros, the "C clip" is actually an "O clip" or a ring, which is indented on the sides to hold in place.
I just took a cylinder like that apart a few days ago. Luckily, the ring is made out of a soft metal. So I just filed a line in it and then tore the ring off.
It seems to me that some old locks were made better than the newer ones.

Interesting, I just noticed they have the model year and some kind of other code (maybe pin setting?) indented on them. Left is 1991, 1988 on the right.
