mushroom pins and spoilers

mushroom pins and spoilers

i've heard alot of people talking about mushroom pins and spoilers and stuff added to locks to make them harder to pick...but idont actually know how those pins make it harder to pick..so can somebody please fill me in??

mushroom headed pins are made rounded at the top the is suppost to make it harder to push down with your picks and that.

problem is they allow the plug to rotate a fraction of a degree makng you think the pin broke but in reality it did not

plus you have to let off the tension to get past the bottom of the spool which sometimes let other pins fall back down.

you get 4-5 of these in a lock it gets tricky
