Drawbridge padlocks

Postby quazimodo » 26 Apr 2004 2:19

do the industrial style padlocks (the ones with the straight shackle, thw the whole thing looks like a rectangular block of brass with a round straight shackle, im not sure on the name of the type of lock) from drawbridge have security pins like mushrooms etc??
the reason is i can break into my own house (yale) in less than 1 minute, open all my other padlocks and im *almost* there picking my toyota, but i still as yet cant pick this 1 padlock.. and its giving me the shits real bad

anyway is it my incompitence, or its security features?

That would be a security feature. Mushroom Pins - A mushroom shaped high security pin so shaped to hinder picking. I have worked on a sargent AssA V-10 which took me a long time to pick. here is the web site to the lock I had problems with.

I think it is listed on the 12 or 13 page down and don't worry just keep trying it will open. Oh by the way what tools are you using to pick the lock ?
