Tubular lcok on padlock?

does some one make a tubular lock on a padlock? if so what brand and where should I look for it. I would like to get one.

American lock made them at one time. Not sure if they still do or not. Try searching ebay.

I found several in the clearance department of a local "B" rated tool store for $4.00 each

American lock did make them as zeke mentioned.

I have seen one made by them, which was in a body shaped just like the American 700, and was marked "Series HT-15" if I recall correctly.

A friend has a lock which seems identical to this American HT-15 and it may well have been made by them. This lock, however, bears the Harley Davidson (motorcycle co.) name and emblem.

This lock has VERY heavy spring tension, and is in fact the only tubular lock I have come across that I have not picked successfully - although I have only had the opportunity & permission to pick it for a total of about 20 minutes, and have not tried to use a professional tubular lock pick on it.

American still makes this type of lock. It's pretty rare, and the tension that the padlock provides is vastly different from your usual cam locks. I haven't tried to pick one of these yet, but I imagine it would be a challenge.
