well this is lockpicking 101, is it not. ? of course i am talking about locks.
I read something, it said the root depth. i was wondering what that ment. what do i measure to find a root depth? is it the space between the sheer line the blade of a key?

Root depth is the measurement taken from the bottom of the cut on a key to the bottom of the key,
