Hello all,
I just recieved my 62 piece lock pick set made from southord. It is a nice set.

I don't have the slightest idea about picking locks, so i did some research on the net, and found this forum. I've been looking through it for about 2 hours or so, and i'm very impressed. so, i registered.

by the way, my lock pick set was stopped at customs for a long time, about 2-3 weeks. and they openned up the package too. but, atleast i got it. i'm looking into becoming a locksmith.

62 pieces picks seems too many for a newbie, at least it's too many for me.

for a newbie, you probably only need a hook, a half diamond and a snake or a half round.

and you better careful while you are picking your new house's lock, you probably have to explain a lot to police why you are doing it.

try to find MIT guide, you will be able to know how to pick after you finish studying it, but even you know how to do it, you still have to practice a lot for being better.

good luck.
