Well, first off to Cobra, I do pretty much agree we went way off topic. You are right in saying that we can go round and around. I've had this debate over and over for the past fifteen years.
I started into locks as a hacker, and it was only about 7 years ago that I decided to become a "practicing" locksmith. So, my opinions are very coloured by that experience.
Oh, and by the way, don't worry about your grammar. Its far and away better than much of what you find on the internet these days.
For mikedogy, I'd also recomend other methods of opening the lock. Unless you are prepared to spend the money for the appropriate picks and pursue the picking as part of the hobby. Obviously you will want to explore methods with the lowest possible risk of ancilliary damage. This puts you square into the drilling camp. Chances are that torching is out of the question, as most often the metal surrounding the lock is of lesser quality that the lock itself.
Picking, drilling and grinding seem to be your best options. Obviously that 7 pin pick isn't going to do this one. I wish I had better advice for you.
