Cylinders

i was wondering where a good place to buy cylinder locks is...should i just buy a a deadbolt or is there a place to buy just a cylinder,,or should i just go to a local locksmith???

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a kwikset, non Ultramax deadbolt. The Ultramax tends to use spool pins.

E-bay can be your best friend here but be careful with the postage rates

Other than that find your local lockie and see if he has a scrap bucket you can either buy, beg or borrow from,

i have 2 locksmiths within a few blocks of me so i will check there first then try ebay or something...

I have found Ebay to be the best place to find cylinders. I have bought everything from Best & Russwins to Medeco's & Schlages. You can usually pick them up in lots of 2 to 6 cylinders. And everybody has always been fair on their shipping rates. Especially if you buy more than 1 item from them. They have always combined shipping for me. Good luck.
