Code Books and information

Postby FirstCall » 29 May 2004 12:12

I am expanding my business into cutting keys by code. I have never done this before. I am looking for recommendations on code books, videos and resources, web sites. Anything that would be helpful and worth the cost.
Thank you for your replies.

You have many options for software HPC, Framon, The National Locksmith...If you want the books HPC is probably the way to go. To be honest though, I can't think of any locksmiths I know that still carry around codebooks. I have Genericode because it was the least expensive thing I could find when I was doing lockouts. If I ever decide to update I think I would go with either coughing up the $500 for HPC's CodeSource to go along with MasterKing or just subscribing to BlackHawk's codes on the web. I think you can get BlackHawk's product on a cell phone now...?

It all really depends on what you want to spend and what you're going to be cutting keys with. Does anyone know if HPC is still giving away CodeSource with their 1200 series machines?
