Chubb Locks?

has any one tried to pick a chubb lock http://www.chubblocks.co.uki know there a part of abloy, and prolly really high security because i saw it on the discovery channel when they where transporting gold and they used a chubb pad lock on the box

Chubb locks are quite common over here and they do have a few padlocks that are popular, which one did you have in mind ?Also check out the european threads.They also appear in australia too going on what some others have posted.

Saw an old guy at the MLA Expo picking Chubb locks, I need to find out more info about him and what he uses. Anybody know?

You seem to be using Chubb locks as a general description for a mechanism.

Specifiy exactly what you're talking about: Lever, Pin Tumbler, AVA & Others - Chubb make them all.

the one i saw looked like a common brass pad lock on it with a key looking similer to masterlock keys. and why whould they use that lock to secure millions of dollers worth of gold?

Eric im not sure what kit the guy used but was it like the make up kits from safe ventures ? I have one of these sets and it does work well on chubb 3g114's once you get the hang of it.
I suppose kung that they figure if you have got as far as reaching the gold and the padlock you would have the knowledge to defeat whatever lock they put on it.Lets face it i bet they have a lot of security in place that they didnt mention.

the answer to your question, is No.
not a make-up key - he used wires.
his own pick.
he was using something that I've never seen.
he said that it works on most curtain locks.
did anyone else see him?
he was on the Duffell stand.

Sounds interesting eric have you tried ringing duffells ? The decode kit is superb though as it produces a working key, i write down the code and change the lever pack for a new one with keys and then go and get a new set of keys cut for the old pack to use on the next job
