I did mean maldotcom2. I need an edit button. I am so used to flamming Technik

I take great offence to this Marso. I was going to PM this to you but seeing as you always seem to rip on everyone outside PM's then I thought it was time to do it your way.

OK, fine you made a mistake, but there is no reason to throw it in my face. Ever since you have been back youve been ripping in to all the noobies, and I havent sed a word (although often gone to). I think that since you have come back that youve got this big-headedness from the talk when you were gone. Now I have never said anything negatively towards you, and still you seem to rip into me, and others who are unsure of what to do on this site. I was simply helping out Romstar, who is a terrific bloke, and yet you rip into me.

I know how frustrating it can be to repeatedly reply to the same questions day after day, trust me I do. It is best to just direct ppl to the FAQ's and MIT as you and I often do. However, there is no need to go nuts just because they dont know what to do. Both Romstar and I have been on this site for a long time, and know what we are talking about. If you cant control your temper, then I reccommend you to just go back to lurking or dont reply to the messages at all (exibit A, this post), because frankly I dont see anything positive coming from your rude and kranky posts.

Like my mother says: if you cant say anything constructive, dont say anything at all.

Like normal I went though all my posts since I have "come back" and noticed that all the times I have flamed the people it has either been followed or included in the message an answer to the question or where to go for help. Even my posts in this edit thread actually had all the answers in it. This is very unlike most people on this forum lately where there are blatent flames to newbie questions without any direction and this is then followed by four other people again still with no answers or direction, which I do not agree with. Also you will find that I only rip into a small number of newbies because the question was either recently answered or has been answered so much. Even then I normally help them.

Well paper clip the kid needed to know he has to follow rules, site beautifcation I said what needed to be said and that thread has changed dramatically since my post, edit button: romstar and I have spoken about this it was written in good fun as it is rare you can catch old hats doing things we get up newbies for, dimples - master combo - counting pins do not need an explaination.

I know that only a small number of my posts include flames and in these cases I can justify it, if you read the whole posts or the other posts in the thread you will normally find out I kiss kick and kiss again. Also there are a number of threads where I have PMd the person with an answer even when the month I was "away". I will try to think about wording my posts better in the future.

Also technik, you being on the forum for a long time does not mean you know any more than a n00b that comes through the doors. I just think length of time means bugger all, there are some people who have just joined that I have alot of respect for. Just incase you try to read something into this like you seem to often do, I am not indicating that you have the knowledge of a n00b just think it is unjustified mentioning length of time here.

All I can say is read my posts in full and take them in the context of the thread and you may get a sense of where I am coming from. If I am doing something wrong tell varjeal and he will give me a slap.
Consider me inactive or lurker.

Ive been away for a few days, and I am a bit supprized to find all of this. It has been handeled very will so far, and I am glad even arguments can be handled with some level of civility. I think it would be best to leave this up for a little bit so that everyone can make up, and then we can delete this and leave it all behind us.

 While some of us have been away.......

Seriously, some things are posted tongue in cheek and, as Whitehat posted, the tone of a post is sometimes difficult to interpret. I didn't see Marso's quote as a poke at Technik, it seemed more of a cheeky comment (could've benefitted from a smiley or a wink though).

Sometimes we all get a bit tetchy, God knows I'd take back my scathing reply to Plot (who seems to be no longer posting) regarding Marso's absence, if I could.

The general level of maturity between the regular users of this forum is something a lot of other forums could look towards. We have a common interest where differing opinions can sometimes conflict, but the level of "restraint from outright flaming" is very high on this forum.

Let's try to keep this level and aim the flames only at the deserving, such as:
"Er, im new an wud like 2 no ow 2 rob dis kidz lokker at skool."
or,
"There's this lock on such and such, which I wanna know how to get open, but it doesn't belong to me and I don't have authorisation to tamper with it"

Hope this removes the small knife from this otherwise professional atmosphere........

your still trying to stick this on me Marso. I dont see what I did wrong, I tried to answer his question, and got shot down. I dont care about the other posts youve done really, I just dont think its right that you can go around accusing ppl for no good reason.

If what Mad Mick said is true, that you were just joking around then I appologise for what I have said previously, and hope we can move on from this.
If you were really cutting into me then I think you should read the post again and think how you would interpret the message if it was focused at you

Thanks
