Does anyone know the laws in NC regarding obtaining/owning/posessing lock picks and related items?

well I haven't checked the offical law thread so my best guess would be that NC is a lawless territory full of pirates and cowboys that roam the land commencing their own style of vigilante justice and envoking fear into the locals with vengence and fury....

i just joined today and also live in NC
is this a NC based site? or just a huge coincidence?

I would say it's more of a moderate to small coincidence.

do local hardware stores sell lockpicks?
or is it best to acquire a set from an online shipper?
