If buying used, your best bet is to be sure you can try the machine before buying. You need to find one in your area that is not to far of a drive to get to.
I have been down the second hand road and sometimes you save alot of $$$ and get a great machine. Other times you just buy someone elses problems which happens to me fairly frequently.
If you can find an old machine, pre blitz, you can save alot of $$$ and end up with a good machine. If you find an old pre blitz machine you can buy all the pieces you need to make it a blitz. I am not sure what all that entails, but I know the pre blitz machines did not have deburring brushes so that is a definate must have.
Good luck! Too bad you were not a few months earlier in your search as I was selling mine for around 900 with 5 cutting wheels etc. I have since decided to keep it though.
