Master #930

Hi, I bought a master lock #930 a couple days ago. I cannot pick it. It is driving me crazy. Ive picked brinks disc locks, masterlock #3, master #575, abus #41, and a lot of brinks locks with spool pins. Ive heard of people using two tension wrenches. Why do they do that? any help would be appreciated.

One hint I can offer for this lock, try putting the tension wrench at the top of the keyway instead of the bottom. The keyway is designed such that most of my tension wrenches can't get a good hold on the bottom and wedge themselves under the left ward, but with the tension at the top it is fairly straightforward to pick.

Does it give a false set? I can't even seem to get a false set. I pick around a bit, then release tension and i hear about 2 pins resetting. :(

I haven't had any direct experience with this lock, but I know that some people put a smaller tension wrench at the bottom of the keyway so that the one that is in the regular position (which is the only one you use with this technique) is lifted from the bottom of the keyway and it doesn't get wedged in the left warding as jgor said before. Personally, I haven't had too much success with this technique either, but I have seen it done. I prefer the method where you use the tension wrench at the top of the keyway, in front of the first pinstack. This gives a bit more room to work with. However, if you rake, it seems to get in the way and with the light tension that is recommended, the rake ends up popping the wrench from the keyway, but I typically SPP anyway, so this isn't as much of an issue with me.
