how do I remove this?

I just got a Master Nightwatch Dead-bolt and am learning too re-pin and take a lock apart. Attached to the cylinder is the cylinder bolt which does not appear to screw off. I have examined it and it appears to be built into the back of the cylinder...which makes it hard to push through the housing without letting the spring and top pin fall out. So how do I remove this cylinder bolt? Do I just cut it off? Thanks for the help guys, I'm just really new to this.

Dont cut anything yet, wait for one of the more experience members to come up and tell you about it. I would, but Ive never bought a master deadbolt so I don't know this lock, I notice that you have only 3 posts so im thinking your pretty new. And Im guessing that you may be calling something like a tailpiece or cam a 'cylinderbolt'. At this point I would say that for me there is a need of clarifying the question. perhaps a photo of the back of the lock would help.

As said, wait till someone with experience with this particular lock comes up before cutting anything, but in the mean while look for snap rings or whateve they call them, you should study what you can see a bit more.

It is the tailpiece of the lock. There is a clip that holds it on, remove it with a screwdriver and it will come off.

Hey thanks for the help guys, and yes, I guess it is the tailpiece.Whoops! I misread the diagram in my "Locks & Locksmithing" book I think.I don't see any clip though so I just took my tube follower and made a cut in it that will fit the tailpiece

On another note, yes I am new I hope to become a member of this community and eventually give back and help others out....BUT I am still really new to this. Maybe someday Thank you for the swift response guys.
