I don't know if that's true. I doubt the site as a whole could contain the amount of information found in LSS. Sold at www.lockpicks.com.
If you can't afford LSS, and Amazon usually has used copies for very cheap and very good condition, then consider the Visual Guide to Lock Picking.
Get yourself a 10 to 14 piece standard pick set and maybe the smallest slimline set they have. Thats all you need. Take it from someone who has spent unnecessary amounts of money on books and picks tools I didn't need.
You don't even need that much. A diamond pick and a tension wrench is just about all you'll ever need, especially starting out.
If you find that after a few months you're still into it, then you can begin to build your set to suit your needs/interests. That way, if you find 2-3 weeks into it that you don't enjoy it, you're only out $2-3 instead of $15-20.
Most of those cheap sets are just that: cheap! I wouldn't waste my money on it. You'll be rebuying another set with 6 months if you get slightly into it because of the wear put on them.
Make sure you enjoy it and then look to get a good set, but remember, more doesn't necessarily mean better.
