I read a little about curtain picks on this site while browsing, but I have been unable to find actual information on what they are, and how they differ from normal picks. Does anyone have a resource they can point me to or help clarify this for me?

A curtain pick is for picking Lever/Mortice type locks found more commonly in the UK.
Think of it as similar to lever picks and two in one picks...but a dedicated pick designed to over come mortice locks with curtains.
The pick turns the curtain and uses piano wire (which usually slides down a central grooved out channel) to pick the levers.
This principle allows low levers to be picked.
Hope that helps.

That does help. I'm only familiar with simple lever locks right now. Most of the picking I've been doing is on pin tumblers.
Are they generally more or less complicated than a standard pin tumbler?
