I'm very new and I can open some padlocks... I have ordered a set with 20 picks on southord.com and i wanna start with my outdoor-lock. It's trioving... Can I probably open my outdoorlock with a regular set?

This is the set i ordered:

Hi there, you should not pick your front door lock, it's not a good idea. You might end up breaking it. Also I suspect that residential locks in Norway should be rather good, thus it might not be that easy to pick it. You can probably open it with that set, if it's a more or less regular pin tumbler.

Double posting again :/
Also if you are interested in the type of lock you have on your front door, you can prolly get one cheap & used from your local web auction site. It's cheaper and easier than breaking your front door lock and calling a lockie.

I agree DONT PICK LOCKS YOU RELY ON

That set will probably open all pin tumbler, wafer, disk.... w/e locks you come into contact with. I buy my locks from hardware stores, but i bet ebay or amazon has some great prices. I would say, get a deadbolt... take it apart and take some of the pins out till you get used to 5-6 pin locks.

Good Luck!

Actually, the first lock I ever picked was a door lock (it was not attached to anything). I used the basic SouthOrd 5 pick set. It is very possible, I might even say it's nicer to start on doors (detached of course) because it has more pins, and seems to be harder, at least for me.
