I would like to invest in a comprehensive auto lockout tool set, but am confused by the plethora of options that are available. I would like to be able to open the widest variety of vehicles, using high quality tools, with excellent documentation / model guides. Do any of you have experience with the following that can make a recommendation?
+ HPC AKK-FL Fully Loaded Killer Kit
+ Z-Tool Grand Master Z-Tool System ("You'll never use a 50-piece kit again!")
+ High Tech Tools Super Pro Set
+ Other?
Thanks in advance for any/all advice.

I don't think asking what tools to use should be a problem. It's explaining how to use them that gets threads locked. I use z-tools and high tech tools "remote control mega master" currently. I will soon be purchacing the jiffy jak system, I like the way it looks and have heard great things about it.

Thanks for the info, freakparade3. I am definitely not asking *how* to use the tools That the tools exist is common knowledge -- just want general purchasing advice.

I found High Tech to be much easier to use than most of the other tools out there. Plus their manuals are really great. You'll end up carrying a lot of tools but they can make your life so much easier.

Depends on how deep your pockets are and whether you are going down the route of cutting lost keys, reprogramming etc. here in the UK I obviously work on the majority of european cars, mostly just opening cars with the keys locked inside or broken in the locks. If you need any advice on tools for european cars then please contact me. i have found that the best tools i have are home made, including lassoes, prodding sticks etc. Tools for later model VAG, BMW and SAAB vehicles start to stretch the pocket here in the UK but I am sure will be cheaper and just as available over the pond! Good luck, its a never ending battle, since once you find a way in the manufacturer does a mod and its back to square one! Still fun though! Picky.

Thanks, Eyes_Only. At this point I am leaning toward the big High Tech set and maybe a Jiffy Jak to supplement. Options are good.
