I was picking a 6-pin lock and got it to turn 180 degrees but then it stuck. I was checking out some of the cross-sections of these kinds of locks and have come to no conclusion why this happened. Any help on the subject would be much appreciated as the door needs to be open for our prank.

You're gonna get ripped now.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

hey,,

welcome to LP101.

so. you picked it. it turned 180. wont turn anymore. heres the solution. next time use google search.

So, this is caused by the top pins catching on the bottom of the lock. to fix this. push them up with the back of youre half diamond. (atleast thats how i do it)

remember not to pick locks that are in use. :D

Why don't you call your university locksmith? If you get caught and you cough up "I solicited help from lockpicking101.com" it gives this forum a bad press.

We will not help you. Call a locksmith and tell him you are a criminal. Judging by your thread title you picked a lock that was not yours and were up to no good. Don't go away mad, just go away.
